Development Academy v High School

Picture
Last week U.S. Soccer Development Academy announced it was moving to a 10-month season starting this year.  This change will have teams competing from September through June, which puts in place a schedule similar to the leading soccer countries in the world.  The immediate impact will have an effect on high school soccer with Academy players no longer being able to play for their school team.  Soccer Banter has spoken with coaches and players directly effected with this decision to get their opinions on one of the biggest changes to the structure of youth soccer in the United States.  Check back daily for new updates.
