Every four years our attention completely turns to Europe as the top countries battle it out during the European Championships. EURO 2012 features 16 countries, including co-hosts, Poland and Ukraine, all vying to be the champion of Europe. Spain are the pre-tournament favorites, winning in Europe in 2008 and the World Cup in 2010. No country has ever won the trophy back-to-back, but if Spain were to win, they would equal Germany with three European Championships. The Euros has produced surprises before with Greece winning in 2004 and Denmark in 1992, so no team can be counted out. Soccer Banter has reached out to different coaches and soccer professionals currently based in the United States to breakdown their homeland with a focus on key players, team manager, tactics, and some of their favorite memories. New previews will be added daily until EURO 2012 kicks off June 8.
