This Week's YouTube clip of the week shows the comparison between Juan Agudelo's goal for New York Red Bulls on Thursday night against DC United and Thierry Henry goal for Arsenal vs. Manchester United. As soon as Agudelo scored on Thursday, ESPN Annoucner John Harkes, quickly stated the goal looked a lot like Henry's goal vs. United. Leave it to YouTube to put both goals in same clip and unfortunately we found this one ourselves so no lucky winner this week! Which goal was better, have your say below.
This week's 'YouTube of the Week' was sent in by Maureen M. for a goal scored from 80 yards away. Sport Colombia goalkeeper Quinonez Wilson unofficially set world record for distance in scoring a goal with his free kick goal from 80 yards away. This week's YouTube clip was actually sent in by a few different people but Caitlin S. wins the Soccer Banter t-shirt by sending it first, congrats Caitlin! In this clip, Joonas Jokinen of FC Baar does a flip on the follow-through of his penalty kick shot. As the ball hits the back of the net, Jokinen lands on his feet. Luckily for Jokinen he wasn't playing against an English side, as I don't think he would of made it through the game without getting kicked off the park for his cheeky display. Congratulations to Mark H. for sending in YouTube of UNC Asheville Goalkeeper Lassi Hurskainen doing some new tricks with a soccer ball. He has a great ability to hit the crossbar with the ball, I hope he is as good at keeping the ball out of his own net.
